APPROACHING THE UNCONSCIOUS

According to definitions, mind is not a
singular entity, but rather an organized interaction between conscious and
unconscious processes. A mere 10% of our mental activity is conscious,
while the remaining 90% is driven by the subconscious.
The title Approaching the Unconscious is drawn from Carl Gustav Jung's 1994 essay of the same name. At this stage of my work, the term "approaching" is the key. There is always more to the world than what initially meets the eye, and I explore what is hidden. I draw on research in psychoanalysis, symbolism, mythology, and alchemy, exploring these ideas through an intuitive creative process.
