I approach this subject both theoretically and practically.
Creating and transforming imagery is an intuitive process of organising thoughts and allowing subconscious patterns and connections to present themselves.
Mind, or rather psyche, is the main inspiration. There is no single truth, no ultimate reality. Experience of life is perceived and translated through an individual's mind. The journey of striving to understand the forces at play in constructing ‘a reality’ has taken me down a rabbit hole, one I’ve never left since. I am still in it, not falling, but rather investigating with an expectant amazement.
My portfolio here is presented in stages, reflecting my understanding and the themes that have emerged from my investigation. At this point, I have reached a threshold between the conscious and subconscious mind.
